Patient Advocate
Chair, Welcome Committee

Amy Grove was diagnosed with Stage IV Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer in 2018 and has since built a career in patient advocacy and lung cancer education. She administers four major lung cancer support groups with thousands of members, providing patients and care partners with trusted information, resources, and community. A vocal proponent of biomarker testing — including in squamous cell cases where it is often overlooked — she shares her own experience of discovering a MET amplification and achieving six years of stability on targeted therapy. She stays current with oncology research through ASCO, AACR, GO2 Foundation Advocacy Day, and LUNGevity’s HOPE Summits. Her story has been featured in Patient Resource, The Patient Story, and the podcast Pivoting: Personal Stories of Transformation. At MET Crusaders, she serves as Chair of the Welcome Committee.
