Associate Director
Karen Woodward, Ed.M., is a lung cancer advocate who came to the work through personal experience with cancer. She joined MET Crusaders as Volunteer Associate Director in 2025, where she helps strengthen the organization so people with MET-altered cancers have the information they need to make informed decisions and find a supportive community. She brings more than twenty years of nonprofit strategy consulting experience to her role, with a focus on building connections across the lung cancer advocacy and research communities. She is a participant in LUNGevity’s Citizen Scientist Program, a member of IASLC’s STARS Patient Research Advocate program, and a Research Advocate Grant Reviewer for the Lung Cancer Research Foundation. She is also active with LungCAN, GO2, ASCO, and A Breath of Hope Lung Cancer Foundation. She lives in the greater Minneapolis–St. Paul area.
